The town of Young, SK has an ex Saskatchewan Wheat Pool grain elevator, owned by the Young Corporation and featuring “STR”, the initials of its three owners.

The first grain elevator was built in Young in 1908. At one time there were six grain elevators in the town. The Pool closed its elevators in 2001 and one elevator was demolished, perhaps the “C” elevator shown in the 1972 photo.
