The United Grain Growers elevator at Petrel Junction, Manitoba was built in 1975 to replace two older elevators, according to the Manitoba Historical Society. The photo above was taken shortly after its construction and shows several CN grain boxcars at the siding. The elevator burned in 1990.

Petrel Junction is where the secondary CN branch line to Brandon branches off from the mainline CN Rivers subdivision.
