Borden

The village of Borden, Saskatchewan has a single ex Saskatchewan Wheat Pool grain elevator. This elevator has an integrated annex and a steel bin.

In 1985 there were three grain elevators in Borden – two Saskatchewan Wheat Pool elevators, with a green Cargill elevator between them (Flickr photo).

Borden is named after Sir Frederick William Borden, who was the Minister of Militia and Defence immediately prior to World War I. He was the cousin of the eighth Prime Minister of Canada, Robert Borden.
