The ex Saskatchewan Wheat Pool grain elevator in Bulyea, Saskatchewan is now owned by Hamner Seeds Limited. This elevator consists of a central elevator, built in 1925, a short frame annex built in 1955, and a larger wood crib elevator built in 1968.

The central elevator was the first of 47 new elevators built by the newly created Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in 1925 to a standard plan. The Bulyea elevator was designated “Saskatchewan Wheat Pool #1”.

The first load of grain was delivered to “Saskatchewan Wheat Pool #1” on July 1, 1925 by P.B. Thompson. It continued as the primary elevator until the larger elevator was built in 1968, at which time the central elevator was converted into an annex for the larger elevator.

This elevator was closed by the Pool in 2000.
