The town of Abbey, Saskatchewan has one grain elevator remaining. Two smaller grain elevators are used as annexes. At least one of them is likely a former Pool elevator (see aerial photo below).

This aerial photograph from the McPhail collection shows Abbey, Saskatchewan in the 1950s. At that time Abbey had five grain elevators – two Saskatchewan Wheat Pool elevators with an Ogilvie Flour elevator between them; and two Federal grain elevators closer to town. Note the stock pens at the tail of the wye, and a substantial train station next to the town.
