Back in April 1991 there were five grain elevators in Webb, Saskatchewan – two Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, one Federal, and two Pioneer.
Today there are no elevators remaining. The last one was demolished prior to 2009.
Webb is located on the Trans-Canada Highway about 30 km west of Swift Current, SK.
Historical Photos
These aerial photos taken by “Howdy” McPhail in the 1950s show that Webb had seven grain elevators at one point – Federal, Pioneer, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, and Searle. The photos show that the elevator arrangements differed between photos, with the bottom photo showing six elevators and the top showing seven.
